Guangdong, China — Bonn, Germany-based extrusion blow molding machinery maker, Kautex Maschinenbau GmbH has named Geoffrey Chan executive vice president of its Chinese subsidiary, Shunde Kautex Plastics Technology Co. Ltd.
Chan was most recently managing director for two Chinese locations of KHS China.
“Kautex Maschinenbau is delighted to welcome yet another highly qualified executive to its team in the form of Geoffrey Chan,” said company CEO Olaf Weiland in a news release. “We have known him for many years as an extremely committed individual and team player. He is the perfect addition to the four members of our current management team in China. Our cooperation with our Chinese customers has developed extremely well in recent years and we have also identified further opportunities for growth.”
Shunde Kautex was founded in 1995 and currently employs 130. Since 2016, the final assembly and commissioning of machines from the all-electric KBB series has been made in Shunde for the Chinese and Southeast Asian market in close cooperation with its main plant in Bonn.
At this year's Chinaplas, the company plans to showcase a new KCC10 MK3 packaging machine.
