Cranberry Township, Pa. — Conair Group has named Sam Rajkovich as vice president of sales and marketing for the maker of auxiliary equipment.
His appointment is effective April 3. Conair announced the news March 27.
Rajkovich brings more than a decade of experience in executive management positions at industrial companies to his new role at Conair. He will assume responsibility for implementing customer-focused strategies and programs throughout the company's sales and marketing organization. That includes implementing short- and long-term programs that build industry awareness, support Conair's growth and enhance customer satisfaction, company officials said.
Before joining Conair, Rajkovich served as vice president of sales and marketing for Sturtevant Inc., where he led business development for the global provider of equipment for material processing and research since 2012. His prior experience also includes work as vice president of sales and marketing for industrial fan maker Hartzell Air Movement Co., and five years in sales and marketing leadership positions with Johnson Controls Inc.'s Ruskin and Trion brands of air-handling equipment.
Early in his career, he was sales manager at his family's auxiliary equipment company, Comet Automation Systems Inc.
Rajkovich said Conair is an "industry powerhouse" with global reach, calling the position "a dream job for me."
Rajkovich plans to relocate to the Pittsburgh area. Cranberry Township is a Pittsburgh suburb. He has an MBA from Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree in political science from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Conair President Larry Doyle said: "Sam joins Conair having implemented tightly integrated marketing strategy and sales processes for other equipment manufacturers, and brings extensive experience in sales management, new product development and customer service. This combination will give us a clearer vision of what our customers need and want from Conair and a more complete understanding of how our sales force can deliver it to them. He also has plastics industry knowledge and experience. Along with strong leadership qualities, this will advance our marketing efforts and accelerate our sales momentum."
