Michigan auto supplier Novo Motor Acoustic Systems Inc. will be renamed Sonus Engineered Solutions, reflecting changes made within the company since its acquisition by a private equity firm in 2015.
San Jose, Calif.-based 3P Equity Partners added the supplier to its portfolio that also includes Ukrainian packaging materials and equipment supplier Polymer-EPK Teknika Group and extrusion line manufacturer Tronoplast Technologies Inc. of Brampton, Ontario.
The rebrand will be launched officially April 18.
“This rebrand reflects the investment we've made to continue providing the same quality products and services our clients depend on, while also striving to seek out and utilize the latest and most innovative [noise, vibration and harshness] technology,” said Tim Droege, president and CEO of Sonus, in a statement. “We have welcomed the changes made within the organization thus far and see a bright future ahead for Sonus.”
The Warren, Mich.-based company supplies automakers FCA, Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen and others with NVH powertrain components and systems made from a variety of materials including injection molding of thermoplastics, foam, fiber and rubber. Its products are designed to enhance motor acoustics and improve fuel economy.
