Specialty chemicals company Clariant International Ltd. has struck a strategic partnership with Chinese film manufacturer Gettel High-Tech Materials Co. Ltd. to promote additives and liquid feeding technology in the biaxially oriented polypropylene sector in China.
Gettel High-Tech Materials, headquartered in Wenzhou, is a BOPP manufacturer with production capacity of 600,000 tonnes per year. These include adhesive tape film, matte film, heat sealable film, lamination film and film for bag making and laser labels.

Gettel said Clariant will “leverage” Clariant's solutions that include the antistatic additive Hostastat FA 68 combined with liquid feeding technology and AddWorks LXR 408. Clariant, the company added, “will find better distribution of its new technologies and products.”
