A man is dead as a result of an April 12 work-related accident at ISOFlex Packaging in Nashville, according to police.
Timothy Evans, a worker at the facility, suffered a fatal head injury while working with a baler, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a statement.
“Evans, 51, was operating a baler inside the plant when it became full. During an effort with a co-worker to close the baler door, Evans suffered a head injury. He died at the scene,” police said in a statement.
ISOFlex Packaging is owned by Sigma Plastics Group, which merged its ISO Poly Films and Flexsol Packaging divisions in 2015 to create a combined unit. ISOFlex Packaging, at the time of the merger, had 350 million pounds of film and bag capacity.
