Milacron Holdings Corp. now can offer injection molders in the Americas a vertically mounted secondary injection unit for Roboshot machines, called the Milacron-Fanuc Roboshot SI-20A.
The secondary injection unit was designed and developed by Fanuc Ltd. In Japan. Equipped with Fanuc's latest HMI Control, the SI-20A is electric, just like the all-electric Roboshots. It is compatible with Roboshot Alpha and B-Series injection molding presses with clamping forces from 50-300 metric tons, and offers the same accuracy and repeatability as the latest Alpha Series Roboshot, Milacron said.
The unit also can be linked to Roboshot-LINKi, the production and quality data management system for molding factories.
For molders in the Americas that want to incorporate multi-shot or horizontal capabilities into their Roboshot presses, Milacron plans to offer Fanuc's SI-300HA horizontally mounted second injection unit, that has a shot capacity up to 4.87 ounces, in the second half of 2017.
