Exhibit space at the 25th Fakuma trade fair, in Friedrichshafen, Germany, later this year, is sold out, and will occupy extra space in the two foyers at the east and west entrances to make room for all exhibitors.
More than 915,000 square feet of overall exhibition floor space will be occupied by around 1,700 exhibitors from 35 countries. This year, international participation is up once again, with over 35 percent of manufacturers and distributors hailing from outside of Germany.
Fakuma attributes the lasting popularity of the show to the fact that, over the years, it has kept pace with the changes that have swept the plastics processing industry in recent years.
New materials, technologies and processes — such as 3D printing technologies, — developments in composite technology, lightweighting and Industry 4.0 are featured at each edition of Fakuma. In addition, exhibitors from around the world use the opportunity to showcase their latest innovations.
This year's Fakuma will again cover industry aspects ranging from injection molding, extruding, thermoforming and 3D printing, and further processing through integrated module assembly and sterile packaging under cleanroom conditions, for example of technical medical components and assemblies.
Fakuma runs Oct. 17-21.
