Pawcatuck, Conn. — Edward Trimpert Sr., an international sales engineer at Davis-Standard LLC, died June 9 after complications from a heart attack. He was 55.
Trimpert spent the majority of his 20-year career with Davis-Standard, beginning with Egan John Brown Plastics, now Davis-Standard, in 1983. Most recently, he worked as an international sales engineer in the sheet group, covering Asia and Latin America.
Trimpert was known as a hard worker and a talented engineer.
"Sheet extrusion was Ed's passion," said Steve DeAnglis, Davis-Standard's vice president of sheet and foam. "He was dedicated, a problem solver and an outstanding teacher, which endeared him to customers and colleagues alike. His absence will impact all who knew him."
Trimpert was an avid sports fan. He rooted for the Yankees and Cowboys, and was very involved in coaching his children's sports teams. He is survived by his wife Theresa and two children Nikke and Eddie Jr.
