Anu Vij has joined Ship & Shore Environmental Inc. as its first chief operating officer. He reports to CEO Anoosheh Oskouian.
"We have added two engineers and one service person, and we are interviewing a couple more people," Oskouian said in an interview. "We needed a person capable technically as well as operationally."
Vij oversees sales, finance, engineering, project management, procurement, production and service groups and provides leadership for business development. Signal Hill, Calif.-based woman-owned Ship & Shore specializes in industrial air pollution capture-and-control systems and now employs about 45.
Vij has more than two decades of experience in the environmental, chemical, petrochemical and air pollution control industries. Most recently, Vij was vice president of enclosed combustion systems for Aereon Inc., an Austin, Texas-based provider of gas and vapor handling, combustion and recovery systems.
