Oak Brook, Ill. — The Society of Plastics Engineers' Injection Molding Division is hosting its first-ever annual conference Aug. 1-3 near Chicago.
The conference, "Injection Molding — From Art to Innovative Engineering," will include 36 technical sessions, industry exhibits, tours of Chicago-area plants and networking receptions.
Presenters include three keynote speakers:
- Bill Carteaux, president and CEO of the Plastics Industry Association. He will provide an overview of the association, as well as plastics industry economic updates and outlook. He will also discuss new technology to be unveiled at NPE2018.
- John Beaumont, president and CEO of the American Injection Molding Institute and Beaumont Technologies, will cover the need for higher-level education & training in injection molding.
- David Kusuma, vice president of research and product innovation at Tupperware Brands Corp., will discuss the next generation of plastics in consumer products.
