Technical University Munich has named high achievers to receive awards from Arburg GmbH + Co. KG.
The awards went to Andreas Schmideder for the best dissertation and Benjamin Winkeljann for the best master's thesis in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Presenting the Arburg awards Brigit Vogel-Heuser of the Chair of Automation and Information Systems, and Arburg Apprenticeship Manager Michael Vieth.
All professors involved in polymer technology, medical technology and related fields were asked to nominate candidates for the Arburg award
Andreas Schmiderer's dissertation was entitled “Continuous process control in miniaturized stirred-tank reactors. Winkeljann's master's thesis was called “Friction and wear on the cornea-contact lens-interface lubricated with biopolymers.
Arburg is based in Lossburg, Germany.
