Honeywell Performance Materials said a major maker of spray foam insulation, Demilec USA Inc. of Arlington, Texas, has introduced a new product formulated with Honeywell's Solstice Liquid Blowing Agent.
Semilec's Heatlok HFO High Lift spray foam insulation system is now available to customers for use in commercial and residential wall insulation. The blowing agent has an ultra-low GWP (global warming potential) of 1, which is 99.9 percent lower than HFCs and is equal to carbon dioxide, according to Honeywell.
Honeywell said the Demilec Heatlok spray foam insulation can provide a higher yield, reduce clogs in spray guns, create better consistency of foam, and better adhesion.
“We've made a commitment to transition to all of our closed-cell foams to this blowing agent and this technology over the next 18 months,” said Demelic President Paul Valle.
