Plans are underway for ePac Holdings LLC to open a new plant in the Los Angeles area as part of a larger push to locate facilities in key markets around the country.
The company, which specializes in using digital printing for short-to-medium run flexible packaging orders, said the new location follows an initial plant in Middleton, Wis., and a second site scheduled to open in Boulder, Colo., in November.
"ePac's growth strategy is to build a total of 15 plants in key markets across the U.S. by 2019. We've seen strong market acceptance of ePac's unique value proposition since opening just over a year ago. In particular, our focus on small to medium size businesses [SMBs] that need a partner to grow with them, has been extremely well received," Senior Managing Director Virag Patel said in a statement.
A sales office is scheduled to open in the Los Angeles area during the next two months that will fulfill orders through the Middleton and Boulder locations until the third plant is operating in early 2018, the company said.
"There is little question about the demand for quick-turn, short to medium run jobs, based on our early experience selling into the Boulder market," said Dustin Steerman, managing director of ePac Boulder, in a statement.
