Oatey Co., a Cleveland-based manufacturer and distributor of plumbing products, announced that it has acquired certain assets of Denver-based QuickDrain USA, which produces pan systems for showers and related wet areas.
Oatey said the QuickDrain products provide a wide range of customers with a universal product for shower pans and related drain systems that is easy to install.
Both companies use plastics extensively for joints, drains, pipes, floor pans and other functional plumbing products.
Oatey CEO Neal Restivo said in a news release that the additional product line strengthens its position as a leading drain manufacturer and increases its presence and capabilities in the commercial market for rough plumbing projects.
"Our goal is to leverage the growth, knowledge and expertise of QuickDrain," Restive said, "to further enhance our ability to provide value to our customers through our broad line of the highest quality products."
QuickDrain will continue to operate out of facilities in Denver.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed by Oatey, which provides 6,000 products for the residential and commercial plumbing industries. The privately held firm was founded in 1916 in Cleveland.
