HP Inc., which is moving aggressively into 3D printing, is partnering with Siemens AG for product development and manufacturing, and Deloitte Consulting LLP for spreading the word to customers.
HP's Multi Jet Fusion technology is integrated with a new version of Siemens NX flagship software, called NX AM, which has been certified by HP for production-scale industrial 3D printing. “AM” is for additive manufacturing.
The NX AM for HP Multi Jet Fusion is now available from Siemens' product lifecycle management (PLM) software business unit. The software module allows customers to develop and manage additive manufacturing activities in a single software environment on their HP 3D printing projects, avoid data conversions and third-party tools, and improve their workflow efficiency, the companies said.
HP also has formed an alliance with Deloitte to reach Deloitte's global clients, through its supply chain and manufacturing operations practice, which helps companies develop manufacturing strategies.
“The Fourth Industrial Revolution is upon us. No sector of the global economy is undergoing more radical transformation than the $12 trillion manufacturing market,” said HP President and CEO Dion Weisler.
The HP/Deloitte alliance will begin in the United States and expand to other countries.
