The Plastics Industry Association said Oct. 23 it has elected new officers to lead the Washington-based group.
Wylie Royce, partner and director at colorant and additive maker Royce Associates in East Rutherford, N.J., will be chairman of the association, along with a new team of officers, effective Jan. 1.
"Our company's 25-year membership with Plastics has been extremely beneficial to Royce," he said. "So, I am honored and delighted to be able to give back some of what we have received by serving as chair."
Royce was previously vice chair of the association and is also currently the treasurer of the group's Food, Drug and Cosmetic Packaging Materials Committee. Additionally, he serves on the board of the Foodservice Packaging Institute.
Joining Royce will be the new vice chairman, Phillip Wilson of BASF Corp., Treasurer Tad McGwire of Industrial Heater Corp. and Secretary James Clark of Printpack Inc.
As well, Jay Olsen of Deere & Co., Paul Augustowski of LyondellBasell Industries and Glenn Anderson of Milacron Holdings Corp will each be officers at large for the association's board. Immediate past chairman James Murphy of Davis-Standard LLC will remain an officer.
