Fence extruder investing $7 million, doubling capacity

Nephi, Utah — National Vinyl Products is building a 30,000-square-foot production facility in Nephi, as part of a $7 million investment to double the fence maker's capacity and develop new profiles and colors for the product offering.

The expansion is expected to create 20 new jobs when it is completed in spring 2018.

Formed in 2001 as a distributor focused on Western U.S. vinyl fence fabricators and retailers, NVP's first growth spurt resulted in the 2004 opening of an extrusion facility in Nephi. Since then, the family-owned-and-operated business has grown its line of privacy, picket and rail fence styles along with color options.

NVP currently sells fence profiles to distributors and contractors across North America. The company says it uses a proprietary formula of titanium dioxide and premium-grade stabilizers and UV inhibitors to prevent fences from fading or yellowing.
