ADI Analytics LLC has boosted its market research presence in plastics and polymers by acquiring certain assets of Chemical Market Resources Inc.
ADI has specialized in management consulting and market research in oil and gas, energy and chemicals. Besides plastics, CMR provides information, market intelligence and strategic analysis to petrochemical and chemical industries. Both firms are based in Houston. The companies announced the deal Nov. 2, and disclosed no terms.
CMR has completed more than 1,000 projects for several hundred clients since it was founded in 1990. Customers ranged from monomer and polymer producers to fabricators to end-users to investors. It also published more than 75 multi-client studies and ran 25 annual FlexPO conferences.
"CMR's market, commercial and technology consulting services in chemicals and polyolefins are a natural extension of ADI's current offerings in oil and gas, energy and chemicals," explained ADI founder and CEO Uday Turaga in a news release.
CMR was owned by a subsidiary of Australia-based TZ Minerals International Pty Ltd. TZ CEO Gavin Diener and CMR general manager Rod Cummings stated that ADI has the expertise to continue CMR's legacy of serving clients around the world.
ADI will acquire all of CMR's intellectual assets for proprietary and multi-client studies, conferences, training and development, publications and research services. The combined entity will advise on North American investments, polyolefin and other plastics markets, trends in mobility, digital technologies, energy efficiency and climate change.
