Salt Lake City — The Plastics Pioneers Association has elected three new members: Anthony Eagan, Patrick Farrey and George Yule.
PPA elected them during the group's fall meeting in Salt Lake City.
Eagan has spent more than 40 years with chemicals and plastics magazines. Eagan joined Plastics News as a regional sales manager in 1989. He was named publisher of the weekly trade newspaper in 1993. In 2014, Eagan helped found Peninsula Publishing LLC, which launched Plastics Machinery Magazine.
Eagan is a past recipient of the Plastics Industry Association's National Board of Directors Appreciation Award.
Yule has more than 48 years of experience in plastics, and is the founder and president of Plastics Network Resources LLC. His background includes work in thermoset and thermoplastics processing, mold making and development of engineering resins. Yule has a long history with the Society of Plastics Engineers, the Plastics Industry Association and the Western Plastics Pioneers.
Patrick Farrey , who became SPE CEO earlier this year, was named an honorary member of PPA. Before joining SPE, Farrey had a 23-year career in the trade publishing and associations.
