Kautex Maschinenbau GmbH has completed its new 5,000-square-meter assembly hall at its Bonn, Germany, headquarters to meet the “urgent need” for production space for its blow molding machinery, especially for packaging.
The new hall, which officially opened Nov. 9, will be mainly used for the assembly of KBB-series all-electric packaging machines as well as KSB machines for blow molding applications in the automotive industry.
The expansion also created 80 new office roles.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, CEO Olaf Weiland said the company had witnessed steady growth for its high-performance and energy-efficient extrusion blow molding machines for the packaging sector.
“In the past, we mainly focused on large blow molding machines for the automotive segment. More recently, however, we have seen considerable parallel development of our packaging machine business,” Weiland added.
