Injection mold and die cast maker Dura Mold Inc. is investing $1.4 million at its facility in Stevensville, Mich.
The expansion includes an 8,000-square-foot addition and will create seven jobs, according to a Nov. 30 news release. The expansion is expected to be completed in March .
“We are quite fortunate to have a combination of a talented, hardworking staff and loyal customers,” Frank Bock, Dura Mold's president, said in a statement. “As our customers continue to challenge our spectrum of capabilities, our team becomes more creative and innovative while continuing to deliver quality product.”
Dura Mold manufactures molds and die cast dies for prototype and production tooling for the automotive, appliance, office furniture, medical and consumer electronics markets, among others. The company also offers engineering services, including preventative maintenance and precision machining.
Cornerstone Alliance, an economic development agency in Benton Harbor, Mich., assisted Dura Mold with securing a tax abatement from the Lake Township Board of Trustees.
Dura Mold officials did not respond to requests for further comment on the expansion.
