More than 50 medical experts met at Engel Germany's offices in Hannover, Germany, in late November for the med.con medical technology conference.
“As the most recent staging proves, Engel's med.con is now an established networking event for plastics processing firms in the medical technology sector,” said Christopher Vitz, managing director in of Engel Germany.
Engel Holding GmbH is based in Schwertberg, Austria.
Christoph Lhota, vice president of Engel's medical business unit, said customers and medical partners use the event “to learn and exchange information about trends as well as innovative products and processes.”
One highlight of med.com 2017 was the production of interdental cleaners using a fully automated manufacturing cell. The brushes, with up to 500 bristles, are produced in a single injection press with an eight-cavity mold, then inspected online and packaged.
