Specialty materials supplier Perstorp Holding AB and filament maker 3D4Makers have teamed up to develop a high-performance filament for 3D printing, called Facilan.
They companies say Facilan is designed for additive manufacturing of medical and other products, as well as prototyping. Facilan is the world's first soft-touch 3D printing material, they said, as well as being stronger than ABS and easier to process than polylactic acid (PLA).
The portfolio currently consists of three materials: Facilan C8, Facilan HT and Facilan Ortho.
Perstorp is based in Malmö, Sweden. 3D4Makers , an employee owned startup, is in Haarlem, the Netherlands.
