Engel Holding GmbH will show two molding demonstrations at the Interplastica 2018 show in Moscow, Jan. 23-26.
Engel will mold globe bodies used as packaging for wristwatches on a tie-barless victory injection press. Betar, an Engel customer in Christopol, Russia, is supplying the mold.
In a second exhibit at Interplastica, Engel will demonstrate a compact molding cell manufacturing a medical needle holder, including cavity separation using the company's stainless steel parts handing system.
Engel is based in Schwertberg, Austria.
In another Interplastica exhibit, Wittmann Battenfeld GmbH is showing two electric injection molding machines — an EcoPower and a MicroPower for micromolding.
On an EcoPower 160/750, a coat hanger will be produced on a single-cavity Haidlmair mold, using the Airmould internal gas pressure process. A robot and a conveyor belt, plus peripheral equipment for upstream and downstream processing are all integrated into the injection press cell.
The MicroPower machine will turn out a tiny paper clip from polyoxymethylene (POM).
