Shrink sleeve equipment and consumables maker American Film & Machinery is relocating operations to Minnesota from California.
With the move, effective Feb. 1, AFM will be located at Engage Technologies Corp.'s headquarters in Brooklyn Park, Minn., following a move from a facility in Corona, Calif. AFM is a division of Engage Technologies.
"This is an exciting time for our company as we continue to grow and expand our operations," Engage Technologies CEO David Mylrea said in a statement. "We have experienced substantial growth in the AFM product line in recent years. This move assembles the business under one roof and allows us to operate more efficiently as an organization."
Engage Technologies also is the parent company of Squid Ink, a maker of inks and ink jet printing equipment, as well as Eastey, a maker of heavy-duty shrink packaging equipment and case sealing systems for packaging applications.
With the closing of the Corona site, all AFM products will ship from Brooklyn Park, the company said.
Engage Technologies has a 50,000-square-foot location in Brooklyn Park that includes room for manufacturing, warehousing, sales, customer service, engineering and operations, the company said.
