Inoutic, based in Bogen, Germany, and the German subsidiary of Deceuninck GmbH has ordered a coextrusion solution from Battenfeld-Cincinnati Group. It marks the third time in one year that the profile extruder has decided to upgrade an existing mono-extrusion line into coextrusion.
Inoutic is a major European maker of profiles for windows, doors and roller blinds. Its product line includes terrace systems and façade and roof claddings made of Twinson wood-plastic composites and vinyl—and uses recycled PVC when possible.
Coextrusion lets the company combine a modern, clean surface with a core made of regring.
Three of the existing mono lines have been converted by adding a 63-millimeter coextruder from Battenfeld-Cincinnati's conEX series. Because of limited space, the coextruders were placed in a piggyback configuration on the main extruders.
