NPE2018 marks the North American debut of affordable robots for in-mold labeling made by Well-Lih Robots Technology Co. Ltd. in China and sold by Absolute Robot Inc., part of the Absolute Group of Worcester, Mass., which also sells Haitian injection molding machines.
Well-Lih robots will be on display at Absolute Robot's booth, W4182. The company will run an in-molding cell with a high-speed side-entry robot from Well-Lih with a VEII 2300/430 “p” all-electric molding press with a clamping force of 259 tons.
The product: yogurt cups on a four-cavity mold.
Absolute Robot offers customers in North America and Central America a line that ranges from pneumatic sprue pickers to full-servo, five-axis robots that can work on injection presses of up to 3,300 tons in clamping force.
