Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly banned plastic straws and bottles from the United Kingdom's royal estates as part of Buckingham Palace's new waste plans.
A spokesperson for the U.K.'s royal family told the press it was "committed to reducing its environmental impact," adding that "at all levels, there's a strong desire to tackle this issue."

Glass bottles will replace plastic equivalents in meetings and on-site cafes while non-biodegradable food packaging and plastic straws are also set to be phased out.
