Huntington Foam LLC is expanding its packaging business with the acquisition of a Central Ohio company.
Huntington, based in Greer, S.C., has purchased TrimTec Systems Ltd. of Grove City, Ohio, a maker of custom fabricated expanded polystyrene and industrial packaging.
Huntington Foam does business as Huntington Solutions.
“TrimTec is a great addition to the Huntington organization and will allow us to quickly expand the range of product offerings to our existing customer base while also further expanding our geographic reach in the Midwest market,” Huntington President Ed Flynn said in a statement.
Chairman Scott Martin said, “The TrimTec acquisition represents an important step in the evolution of Huntington Solutions. ... TrimTec's value-added engineering and design capabilities are a strong fit for the Huntington organization.”
Huntington, owned by private equity firm Mill Point Capital, has other manufacturing sites in Greer, Greenville, Mich., and Guadalupe and Ramos Arizpe, Mexico.
Huntington makes custom-engineered shape-molded and fabricated foam products using EPS expanded polypropylene and other resins, the company said.
