Naples, Fla. — Progressive Components, a Wauconda, Ill.-based global supplier to the tooling and molding industry, took home the top spot for Best Places to Work at the Plastics News Executive Forum, March 6 in Naples. The company ranked No. 2 in 2017.
Chairman Don Starkey Jr. and President Glenn Starkey credited the company's team.
"The path to customer excellence is the result of our highly engaged employees," Don Starkey said.

Best Places to Work is independently managed by research firm Best Companies Group, of Harrisburg, Pa., which obtains information and input from employee satisfaction surveys and management questionnaires. To be eligible, companies must be a plastics processor or supplier in the U.S. or Canada, with at least half of sales coming from plastics, and have at least 15 employees.
Ninety-three percent of employees from the top 17 Best Places to Work companies said their employer treats them like a person, not a number. As well, 95 percent of employees from the Best Places to Work companies said they like the people they work with. Overall, 95 percent of Best Places companies' employees said they are "very satisfied" with their employer and are proud to work there.
