Resin distributor General Polymers Thermoplastic Materials LLC is working with Terinex International Ltd. to extend its presence in eastern Canada.
The cooperative marketing and sales agreement between the two firms will allow Clarkston, Mich.-based GP to cover larger parts of eastern Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime provinces, officials said in a recent news release.
Terinex of St. Lazare, Quebec, was founded in 1976 primarily to serve smaller plastic processors in that province. The firm distributes a wide range of resins, colorants and additives.
GP partner Greg Boston said in the release that his firm "is honored to partner with a company that has been an anchor of thermoplastic distribution in eastern Canada."
Terinex President Paul Browitt added that GP's customer-driven, supplier-focused strategy "fits extremely well within our own sales and service strategy." Other team members at Terinex include Michel Joly and Ann Peters.
GP was launched in October 2016 by distribution veterans Boston and Michael Kirtley. The firm offers support to small-to-medium sized processors with a focus on prime, certifiable grades of engineering resins and compounds.
