Among the millions in the path of Hurricane Harvey in the Houston-area last September were employees of materials firms and processors. And when the storm flooded the area, many were displaced.
This included employees at Covestro's Baytown, Texas, facility. It's the company's largest in North America and it's located just east of Houston on the Gulf of Mexico.
Covestro didn't just work to get its facilities back running. The resin maker also went to work to help its employees get short-term and long-term housing settled. Officials got a list of employees that needed housing and they went to work to help them get in apartments, hotels and trailers.
