Reynolds Consumer Products is spending $3.2 million on a new film production line in Temple, Texas.
The project will create 10 new positions, according to the company and the Temple Economic Development Corp.
"New business moving to Temple is always exciting to celebrate but supporting our existing businesses and enabling their growth is a crucial component of effective economic development efforts," said Temple EDC Vice President Charley Ayres in a statement.
Reynolds already employs almost 300 in Temple. The Temple location makes products for the company's Hefty brand and has been operating since 1970.
Economic development officials said it provided an unspecified cash grant for the project.
"Community support and the availability of a reliable, skilled workforce are a key component in investing in any expansion. Our brand is known for quality and reliability and the people behind it make that possible. We're pleased to be able to grow right here in Temple," Plant Manager Rick Villa said in a statement.
Reynolds Consumer Products is owned by investment firm Rank Group Ltd. of Auckland, New Zealand.
