At NPE2018, Boy Machines Inc. will present six of its small-tonnage injection molding machines at Booth W2503, right at the entrance to the West Hall.
Visitors will get a good overview of the entire Boy product range, including the smallest XXS press, with 7 tons of clamping force, as well as liquid silicone rubber molding.
An insert molding demonstration will happen on a vertical 36-ton Boy 35 E VV, as well as he largest one, a 100-ton 110 E.
The 110 E will mold small protective sleeves made of liquid silicone on a 128-cavity, running a 14-second cycle time. In cooperation with Elmet, the sleeves are removed from the mold with a scraper bar. Boy officials said the Boy 100 E's free-standing, cantilevered two platen clamping unit offers enough space for the removal device, plus allows easy and access to remove parts from below the molding area.
Another NPP2018 highlight: Fully automatic production of two-component wine spouts. First, a Boy 60 E, equipped with the energy-saving EconPlast technology, molds the body. Then an integrated injection Boy 2C S injection unit overmolds two sealing lips to the spout seals in the wine bottle.
A Boy LR 5 robot will remove the spouts from the mold and place them on a conveyor belt.
Other demonstrations will include a Boy XXS molding small technical parts, a Boy 25 E molding as clear magnifying lense and a Boy 35 E turning out medical parts.
A Boy 35 EVV press will do overmolding at the exhibit of robot maker Yushin America Inc., at Booth W2173.
