Italian materials supplier the Radici Group is planning to expand in China as part of its growth plan in the country.
As ChinaPlas, taking place April 24-27 in Shanghai, the Gandino, Italy-based chemicals and polymer group said it has invested in a new extrusion line at its production unit in Suzhou, China.
By the end of the year, said Alberto Sessolo, CEO of Radici Plastics Suzhou Co. Ltd., the line will begin operation, increasing production capacity by 10,000 metric tons per year.
“Moreover, we will shortly install a pneumatic transport system to carry the polymer from the warehouse directly to the production lines,” he noted.
The company also plans to refurbish its laboratory to provide more tailor-made services to its customers.
Part of the Radici Group performance plastics business area, Radici Plastics Suzhou targets the automotive industry in China.
The group is displaying a number of high-performance materials for under-the-bonnet applications, including the Radilon family of specialty engineering plastics which are heat resistant.
