Orlando, Fla. — Americhem Inc. placed three recent acquisitions under the Americhem name.
Between 2013 and 2016, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based Americhem acquired Infinity Compounding, LTL Color Compounders and Vi-Chem Corp. Those units had continued to operate under their own corporate names, but now they will all be under the Americhem umbrella.
"We've unified these premier brands to showcase the power of Americhem," CEO Matthew Hellstern said May 7 at NPE2018 in Orlando. "We've transitioned from color masterbatches to polymer solutions with technology investments and strategic acquisitions."

In other end markets, Hellstern said that Americhem "might be able to push more" into building and construction with materials for fencing and decking.
The firm also "is always looking" for more acquisitions, he added.
After NPE, on June 1, Americhem announced that it has expanded its global reach by acquiring Prescient Color Ltd., a Pune, India-based company that makes textile and specialty masterbatches for markets including synthetic fibers. Terms were not disclosed.
Americhem said the deal complements its position in the global synthetic fiber market and expands its geographic reach in a high-growth region.
"Prescient's operating model and core values align with Americhem's," Hellstern said.
Rohit Rathi, managing director of Prescient, added: "Our customers will benefit by having access to new innovative technologies, and our employees' futures will continue to expand and thrive as part
