The Plastics Industry Association was named Best Manufacturing Trade Association to Work for in 2018 by the National Association of Manufacturers' Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) at the 2018 Summer Leadership Conference in Chicago.
CMA partners on the awards with Best Companies Group, the Harrisburg, Pa.-based company that also works with Plastics News on the annual Best Places to Work in Plastics awards.
CMA's program honors employers among manufacturing associations.
Out of 10 finalists, the Washington-based Plastics Industry Association received the highest engagement scores.
“We're thrilled to be named as the best manufacturing trade association to work for this year, but the real honor is being able to work with a group of dedicated, hardworking and inspiring individuals like our staff,” said Bill Carteaux, president and CEO of the association, in a news release. “Our employees are the heart of our business and they consistently show their dedication to our industry, our members and our mission to promote a Better Industry and a Better World.”
At the event, association representatives Carteaux; Mia Freis Quinn, vice president of communications; and Patty Long, executive vice president, received the award from NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons.
