Graham Partners has found another investment in Advanced Barrier Extrusions LLC.
The Newtown Square, Pa.-based private investment firm is acquiring the Rhinelander, Wis., firm also known as ABX.
ABX makes high-barrier films used in the protein, cheese and specialty food markets in North America. The company that makes multilayer cast films will serve as a platform for future growth.
"Graham plans to pursue new product development opportunities in adjacent markets, while growing the business through add-on acquisitions and capacity expansion as well as increasing operational efficiencies," the investment firm said in a statement.
Graham Partners is joining with existing management to acquire ABX.
Tony Haug is president and co-founder of ABX. "Graham's expertise in the industry and deep bench of operating resources distinctly qualifies them to partner with our team to grow the business," he said in a statement.
ABX uses a variety of materials to make its films, including nylon, polypropylene, ethylene vinyl alcohol and linear low density polyethylene. Products include nine- and 11-layer films ranging in thickness from 1 to 11 mils.
