Andrew Liveris, the former Dow Chemical CEO and current board member at Saudi Aramco, has been named as a special adviser to Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, according to published reports.
The Arabian Business reported Sept. 3 that Liveris will be an adviser to crown prince Mohammad Bin Salman, who is the chairman of the fund.
Citing an emailed statement, Arabian Business, said Liveris will work closely with the fund “in several areas and assist the it in efforts to increase the value of its portfolio.”
PIF is the Saudi sovereign wealth fund and is made up of roughly 200 investments.
The fund, in line with the Saudi economic reforms 2030 vision, has made investments in projects that diversify revenue from oil in the country and is involved in various projects including in petrochemicals, telecom and aerospace.
