The Association of Rotational Molders has named a Canadian, Bill Spenceley, and Reijo Strom of Finland into the Rotational Molding Hall of Fame.
ARM will induct Spenceley and Strom on Oct. 23 at ARM's annual meeting in Montreal.
Spenceley is owner and president of Flexahopper Plastics Ltd. In Lethbridge, Alberta. He rotomolded his first part at Flexahopper as a summer employee in 1974, just seven years after the company was founded.
He has regularly served ARM as a committee member, speaker and meeting chairman. He earned the Charles D. Frederick Distinguished Service Award in 2014.
Spenceley also has served as chairman of the International Affiliation of Rotational Molding Organization and as president of ARM.
In 2017, Flexahopper Plastics installed more than 500 solar panels on its factory roof to generate power for the plant. Spenceley also has supported industry research and development activities at his factory.
