Mexico City — Amco Polymers LLC is expanding its distribution business into Mexico to support what Vice President Kevin Wettstein calls a "rapidly growing customer base" in the country.
"Today, Amco Polymers de México is fully operational," the company added in an October 15 news release.
Headquartered in Mexico City, with another sales office in Guadalajara in western Mexico, the operation includes bulk and warehouse storage space, "with full packaging and delivery capabilities."
"The plastics industry in Mexico is witnessing a positive growth trajectory," Country Manager Gerardo López Kuri, said in the release. "We are ready to provide solutions for local customers."
Founded in 1955, Amco distributes commodity, engineering and specialty polymers. Both Amco and its parent, Ravago Americas LLC, are headquartered in Orlando, Fla.
"Mexico continues to be a key partner for many U.S. companies and we are thrilled about our expansion and growth opportunities," said Eddie Oropeza, Amco's regional commercial director.
"Our strategic expansion into Mexico ensures we provide a full service, solution-based partnership to both our customers and suppliers," Wettstein, who is also Amco's general manager, added.
