Reifenhäuser Cast Sheet Coating GmbH & Co. KG has introduced the next generation of its MIREX-MT-V polishing stacks for the company's extrusion lines to make PET thermoforming sheets, which came out in 2013.
After five years of worldwide use, Reifenhäuser has modernized the polishing stack. Depending on the system capacity, it has three or four polishing rolls. Also, an axis crossing for the first roll is available as an option, for the production of thin films with large widths.
The entire, modular, line has been prepared for Industry 4.0.
The heart of the lines is the REItruder twin-screw extruders, now in the third generation. The extrusion lines meet Food and Drug Administration requirements for food-contact films made with 100 percent recycled PET, according to the company in Troisdorf, Germany.
