Japanese auto supplier Toyoda Gosei Co. Ltd. is adding to its footprint in India.
It's subsidiary, Toyoda Gosei Minda India Pvt. Ltd. officially opened a plant in Gujarat, marking another step forward in the company's efforts to expand throughout the country.
The new plant in Dekavada, manufactures safety systems, including airbags, steering wheels and weatherstrips and primarily will supply parts to Suzuki Motor Gujarat Pvt. Ltd.
The facility is Toyoda Gosei's sixth in India, its first since the April opening of a new technical and sales office just outside of Delhi.
The company said it aims to double sales in India within the coming years, hoping to reach $316.3 million by 2025.
