German plastics machinery company Hennecke GmbH has moved its North American headquarters to a new purpose-built facility in South Fayette Township, Pa., near Pittsburgh.
The new headquarters has office and conference space, a research and development laboratory, a modern parts warehouse and areas for machinery repair and mix head rebuilding, the company added.
Continuous, foil-faced polyisocyanate panels from Hunter Panels insulate the building. It also contains hot water heaters manufactured by Bradford White. Both companies are Hennecke customers.
Low- and high-pressure machines to test raw materials and for customer trials are located in the new headquarters. In addition, these machines can be used for training and demonstrations, the company said.
The headquarters also has a state-of-the-art warehouse with vertical lifting modules that house parts. Conference and engineering areas designed to improve communications between and within business divisions round out the site.
In addition, the company plans to hold an open house in the spring.
‘This building better represents the innovation and leading polyurethane technology that we provide,' said Lutz Heidrich, general manager of Sankt Augustin, Germany-based Hennecke. The company's previous U.S. headquarters was in Pittsburgh.
