Maroon Group LLC of Avon has named Terry Hill its next CEO, effective May 1, 2019.
In that role, Hill will succeed Mark E. Reichard, who will continue to serve as the specialty chemical distributor's executive vice chairman, according to a news release. Reichard will also continue to serve as president and CEO of Polyram USA, a joint venture which includes Maroon Group.
Maroon Group's website currently lists Reichard as the company's CEO and president. As Hill takes on the CEO role, Mike McKenna will add the role of president to his duties as Maroon Group's chief operating officer.
Hill has been on Maroon Group's board of directors since March 2017. He has previously held leadership roles at Univar, where he spent about 30 years, the release stated.
"I am delighted to join Maroon Group as CEO at such an exciting and dynamic time for our company and industry," Hill said in the release. "It has been tremendous fun to participate in Maroon's expansion over the past several years, and I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to build on the exceptional momentum at Maroon."
In a Q&A, Hill said Maroon Group would focus on continuous improvement in the coming years. The company also plans to continue to pursue strategic acquisitions and to stay at the front of trends like green products.
