Russian compounder Research and Production Polyplastic has used Coperion twin-screw extruders for more than 20 years.
The company is based in Moscow. At its Togliatti and Engels locations, Polyplastic produces about 88,000 tons of compounds on six different ZSK and STS series lines. Three more ZSK extruders are running in the Moscow research and development and pilot production center.
“Since its purchase in 1997, we have profited from the quality and performance of our first ZSK,” said Evgeniy Ambrosov, technical director of Polyplastic. “This twin-screw extruder with a 70-millimeter screw diameter, is still in operation.” The line mainly produces nylon.
The STS twin screw extruders with 75-mm screw diameters are among Coperion's latest generation of machines. It makes polypropylene, nylon and polyethylene compounds in batch sizes, Ambrosov said.
Coperion is based in Stuttgart, Germany.
