Europe's second biggest plastics industry show, Fakuma, is reviewing the length of the next edition of the show, scheduled for October 2020.
“Due to the great number of comments regarding the issue of trade fair duration… we're launching a survey today in this regard,” the organizers said in a March 20 email 20.
The survey, open until March 28, offers three options: The current format, of a five-day event running from Tuesday through Saturday; a four-day event taking place on a Tuesday through Friday; or a five-day event from Monday through Friday.
The goal of the survey, organizers said, was to gain “a general impression” from the participants for the future alignment of the event.
Held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, Fakuma takes place annually in October in years that do not include a K show. The K show is the biggest plastics trade show in Europe and will be held this October in Düsseldorf, Germany.
