Rick Shaffer has resigned his position as managing director of the western region of Westfall Technik Inc., the Las Vegas-based holding company that's been on a buying spree since it was formed in 2017.
The move was effective immediately, Westfall said in a news release dated March 25.
"Rick has decided to pursue his previous consulting activities to allow more time with his family," Westfall said in the release. Shaffer will be consulting with Westfall on numerous customer projects, the company said.
Shaffer, whose background includes executive positions at injection press supplier Netstal Machinery Inc and Flextronics HRS-Plastics unit, was one of the founders of Westfall Technik, helping the firm, backed by private equity, grow quickly. In the news release, officials said Westfall now owns 15 design, tooling and manufacturing companies, generating total sales of more $200 million.
Shaffer also was the spokesman for Westfall. He did not return a telephone call for this story.
