Cincinnati — Cincinnati-based ProMach Inc., a global leader of packaging machinery for household and industrial goods, has purchased automation integrator Quest Industrial LLC of Monroe, Wis.
Quest Industrial specializes in automation systems across food, beverage, plastics, metals and other industries. The company has expertise in the food industry, including dairy, produce and other markets. Quest automation systems cover a range of applications including pick-and-place, cup filling, knife cutting, vacuum sealing, case erecting, tray forming, palletizing and vision systems.
Quest is a Fanuc-authorized system integrator and certified vision specialist.
Don Wickstrum, Quest's founder and CEO, will join ProMach as vice president of business development for robotic solutions. The current president of Quest, Bill Weichmann, will join ProMach as vice president and general manager of Quest.
ProMach designs and builds machinery systems that do filling and capping, handle flexibles including making pouches and trays, product handling, labeling and coding and palletizing and wrapping.
ProMach employs 3,000 people at manufacturing facilities and offices in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
