Prior to a new employee's first day, Inoex LLC issues their colleagues-to-be a summary of the new team member's interests, achievements and personal details as well as a photo.
On day one, the company welcomes the new employee to the rest of the team via Microsoft Teams, and the new hire receives a detailed onboarding program that includes full training.
"These actions make the employee feel welcomed and appreciated and a key member of the team. Thereafter, we believe in continuous learning and development and celebrating milestones," the Lancaster, Pa.-based company said in its Best Places to Work questionnaire. "We place great emphasis on feedback from team members by means of surveys, which take place regularly. They enable the team members to receive the training they need to succeed. We are working on a formal recognition system for birthdays and anniversaries."
Inoex's culture is based on its "commitment to developing our employees' skills, team working, mutual respect for one another and providing world-class customer service."
The company's first core value is continuous improvement: "All new employees receive a detailed training plan."
Customer commitment is its second core value.
"We offer the speediest service available to customers through our network of service engineers located around the country," it said.
Third is honesty. The company places a "great emphasis on regular surveys completed by our team members." It welcomes total honesty, "otherwise the whole exercise is meaningless."
Inclusion is the fourth core value, and staff is encouraged to participate in get-togethers and fun activities, which, in the past, have included ax-throwing, bowling and smoking meats together.
The fifth core value at Inoex is integrity.
"[Integrity is] similar to honesty but includes the encouragement of high moral principles. We encourage fairness and openness in our dealings with suppliers and customers," Inoex said.
Teamwork is the sixth and final core value at Inoex: "We refer to our employees as team members."
